The Story Behind Marlin
The name Marlin carries personal meaning for founder Meri M. Stockwell.
The marlin was the mascot of Mercy High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan, where many of the leadership values that shaped her early life were formed.
Years later, the connection came full circle when Meri and her family made their home on Marlin Drive in Florida.
What began as a meaningful connection became the inspiration for the publishing house.
The marlin symbolizes strength, focus, and forward movement. Qualities reflected in every book published under the Marlin Publishing House™ imprint.

Meri M. Stockwell, MBA, CSP, CEP
Meri M. Stockwell is a business strategist, leadership advisor, and founder of Meritas Advisory Group, where she provides coaching and consulting to leaders and organizations seeking to elevate performance and culture.
With more than three decades of global leadership experience across procurement, operations, and consulting, Meri helps organizations align people, strategy, and culture to improve performance. She is a certified Predictive Index Partner and trained Positive Intelligence coach, working with individuals, teams, and organizations to strengthen leadership capability and improve mental fitness.
Her work focuses on helping leaders build teams that click and results that stick™.
Outside of her professional work, Meri is a proud fur momma. She previously shared life with Seaira and Pebbles, two adorable Schnoodles who were beloved companions and have since crossed the rainbow bridge. Today, she shares her home with CC, a spirited Cavapoo who proudly serves as Chief Cultural Officer.

Named after Meri’s favorite basketball player, Caitlin Clark, CC brings spirited energy and joyful curiosity to every day.
While she may not attend strategy meetings or review business plans, CC has an incredible way of demonstrating the simple behaviors that help great teams thrive. Her enthusiasm, attentiveness, and natural curiosity often inspire reflections about leadership, culture, and connection.
